ANIMALS - MONKEYS

Tarsier

Tarsiers are small animals with enormous eyes; each eyeball is approximately 16 mm in diameter and is as large as its entire brain. The unique cranial anatomy of the tarsier results from the need to balance their large eyes and heavy head so they are able to wait silently for nutritious prey. All tarsier species are nocturnal in their habits. Tarsiers tend to be extremely shy animals. Although the group was once more widespread, all the species living today are found in the islands of Southeast Asia.

Cañón San Cristobal

Known as the island's main canyon. It's preserved by Fideicomiso de Conservación de Puerto Rico. It's about 4.5 miles long, just around 100 feet wide, and with 400-500 foot high rocky walls on both sides. San Cristobal Canyon was carved by a river that currently serves as a boundary between Barranquitas and Aibonito. Here you'll find waterfalls, pools, tiny harmless snakes, cliffs, and great rock formations.

FRANCE - PARIS

Eiffel Tower

The Eiffel Tower is an iron lattice tower located on the Champ de Mars in Paris, named after the engineer Gustave Eiffel, whose company designed and built the tower in 1889 as the entrance arch to the 1889 World's Fair. The tower stands 324 metres (1,063 ft) tall, about the same height as an 81-storey building. The tower has three levels for visitors. The walk from ground level to the first level is over 300 steps, as is the walk from the first to the second level. The third and highest level is accessible only by lift—stairs do exist but are usually closed to the public. The tower has become the most prominent symbol of both Paris and France.
