Route Industriekultur

The Industrial Heritage Trail links tourist attractions related to the industrial heritage in the Ruhr area in Germany. It is a part of the European Route of Industrial Heritage. The trail network connects museums and exhibitions that present the industrial revolution during the last 750 years in the Ruhr area. It includes 400 km of road network and about 700 km of bicycle tracks.

Aachen

Aachen has historically been a spa town in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Geographically, Aachen is the westernmost city of Germany, located along its borders with Belgium and the Netherlands. The town hall was built in the 14th century and today it is mostly used for festive events and weddings.

Berlin - German Museum of Technology

Deutsches Technikmuseum Berlin was founded in 1982 in Berlin, Germany, and exhibits a large collection of historical technical artifacts. The museum's main emphasis is on rail transport, but it also features exhibits of various sorts of industrial technology. Recently, it has opened both maritime and aviation exhibition halls. The museum also contains a science center called Spectrum.

Hohenlimburg
